The doctor did tell us at our last visit to be watching for her to start teething, but it could be 2 more months since she was born 2 months early. However, our poor little sweet pea has started teething! She apparently has been teething for the past two weeks since her symptoms have been going on for that long and my light bulb just came on that teething could be the culprit. I called the doctor this morning just to make sure and sure enough.... she's teething!
Her symptoms (for parents who may be still waiting for this...exciting stage in their baby's life lol) are: excessive drooling, inflammed gums, white spots on the gums (the teeth), fussiness while feeding, and excessive crying. She has been unusually fussy here the past few weeks and we have had to endure a couple of long nights although she has been doing great sleeping through the night (when we finally get her to sleep). So the solution...... baby orajel and TEETHING TABLETS! God's gift to mothers with teething babies! I put 2 tablets under her tongue and poof.... happy baby in 10 min! We will see how long this stage last, but hopefully we will be seeing some little baby teeth here soon!
